The nationally recognised EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) course offers a dynamic and hands-on learning experience for qualified electrical professionals working in high-risk environments. Delivered over 5 engaging days (40 hours), this intensive program blends practical application with essential theory to build the skills and confidence required to install, inspect, maintain, and test explosion-protected equipment.

  • UEEHA0020 Conduct detailed inspection of electrical installations for hazardous areas
  • UEEHA0022 Determine the explosion-protection requirements to meet a specified classified hazardous area
  • UEEHA0023 Develop and manage periodic electrical inspection and maintenance programs for hazardous areas
  • UEEHA0025 Install explosion-protected equipment and associated apparatus and wiring systems
  • UEEHA0026 Maintain equipment associated with hazardous areas
  • UEEHA0029 Plan electrical installations for hazardous areas
  • UEEHA0038 Conduct visual and close inspection of electrical installations for hazardous areas
  • UEECO0002 Maintain documentation
  • UEECD0011 Comply with scheduled and preventative maintenance program processes

Entry Requirements

Participants must:

  • Hold a current unrestricted Electrical Licence
  • Have adequate literacy, numeracy, and oral communication skills to participate in technical instruction and assessment (aligned with competitor prerequisites)

This intensive course is typically delivered over 5 consecutive days (40 hours) of face-to-face training.
While the standard delivery is full-time, alternative scheduling options may be available for group bookings.
