The Electrical Engineering Manager (EEM) Surface course offers an in-depth exploration of open-cut (or open-pit) mining operations, focusing on the core principles, practices, and technologies used to design, operate, and manage surface mining projects. Students will learn about the various stages of open-cut mining, including exploration, planning, extraction, and reclamation.

This course provides a detailed exploration of underground mining operations, focusing on the principles, methods, and technologies used to design, operate, and manage underground mines. Learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and techniques associated with underground mining, including excavation, ventilation, ground control, and safety protocols.

The Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering provides learners with advanced knowledge and practical skills in electrical engineering, preparing them for specialized roles in the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems across diverse industries.

This nationally recognised qualification equips participants with the theoretical knowledge and hands-on capabilities to select, install, maintain, and inspect electrical equipment in areas classified as hazardous due to the presence of flammable gases, vapours, or combustible dusts. Training is delivered in alignment with current Australian Standards (including AS/NZS 60079) and industry best practices.
